Your generous gift will fund our "Food as Medicine Program" for one patient.  Research shows that many of our patients are not properly educated on how their diet can impact their chronic disease and are also unable to afford the foods that could make up an effective diet.  Through this partnership with Humana, BeConcerned and The UK Extension Office, we provide seven weeks of free disease specific diet training and free disease specific food on an ongoing basis.  This intervention means patients can better treat their disease and reduce their dependence on medications.
